New National Course for Personal Property Appraisers

New IRS regulations now require that appraisers complete professional-level course work to become qualified to do certain Federally-related appraisals and that appraisals be prepared in accordance with generally accepted appraisal standards such as USPAP. This new course provides a complete appraisal education including USPAP all within six days and for a minimal cost. No other course offers an education in appraisal principles as well as in USPAP all in one setting.

Part I of this course is taught by long-time Certified Appraiser David Maloney. In Part I the student will learn the latest theory, principles and practices of professional appraising including terminology, definitions, approaches to value, scope of work, intended uses of appraisals, IRS regulations, and much, much more. The student will also learn basic appraisal techniques to facilitate beginning or expanding a professional appraisal business.

Part II of this course is the 15-hour National USPAP course which is taught by Bill Novotny, a Nationally Certified USPAP Instructor. The course is designed to aid personal property appraisers seeking competency in USPAP and focuses on the requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance that are set forth in this widely-accepted standard. In addition to lectures, Part II includes discussion examples that show how USPAP applies to situations that personal property appraisers encounter in everyday practice.
